Forever Onions

Did you know that if you keep the roots of your green onions, place them in a bit of water by sunlight, they'll keep growing?? I think it's so cool!! Now, I can't say how long they keep doing this for, as I've just started this Sunday (look how much has grown since then!) but hey - I'm cutting my budget. 89 cents at a time!!
